# Duration and Rates
In the **Durations and Rates** tab you will see two main sections**;**
* **Durations**, which includes create-button and a list of the durations of the Time Charter Contract (TC)
* **Duration and Rates** which includes a list of the **Rates** along with the connected **Duration** of the TC
New Durations and Rates layout introduced in v8.25
In the Durations section you [create new durations](/voyage-management-system/step-by-step-guides/chartering/time-charter-contracts/maintain-time-charter-contracts/duration-and-rates/create-and-edit-duration-and-rates.md#create-a-duration) by clicking the -icon in the top right of the section. By double-clicking on any of the fields per row, you can edit directly to the existing durations. You can also click on the -icon to expand to display and edit some additional data per row:

This functionality was introduced in v8.25. Click [here](/voyage-management-system/step-by-step-guides/chartering/time-charter-contracts/maintain-time-charter-contracts/duration-and-rates/create-and-edit-duration-and-rates.md#edit-a-duration) to read more about editing durations and their rates, and about the different sections (Risk, Index-Based Rate, etc.).
Also under the Durations section, you can also **delete** the durations, and/or their rates, by selecting the right-most Delete-icon per given row.
While under Duration and Rates section, you can only view the data, which is displayed based on the selected row in the above Durations section.
From version v8.25, both of these lists are turned into a grid, which means you can now use [all of these functionalities](/voyage-management-system/step-by-step-guides/data-grids.md).
