# Maintain Cargoes

Once you have [located](/5.11/voyage-management-system/step-by-step-guides/cargoes/find-cargoes.md) a cargo in your cargo list you can click this cargo and open up the cargo booking.. You can maintain/edit the particulars of this cargo from this screen.

Laycan dates are indicating an error if only one of the dates are entered. It will still save the date, but if you re-open a cargo drawer with one date missing it will display as red indicating an error. The validation is separate for Laydays and Laydays (target). It is also not possible to set a commencing date later than the cancelling date. If the Laycan or Laycan (target) is only one specific date, simply choose the same date for both fields.
