Business Unit Configurations

The Business Unit Configurations section allows you to manage a set of pre-defined Data Controls, which determine the visibility of objects within VMS based on each user’s assigned Business Units.

Overview

At the top-left of the module, you will find the label 'Business Unit Configs' together with its indicator, which shows the current status of your preset Data Controls:

• Not Set: No preset Data Controls have been configured.

• Partially Set: Some, but not all, preset Data Controls are configured.

• Set: All preset Data Controls are configured.

Next to the status, you’ll see two action buttons:

• Set: Quickly creates any missing preset Data Control objects.

• Remove: Deletes all preset Data Control objects.

How to Use

• To create missing Data Controls:

  1. Confirm the status is either Not Set or Partially Set.

  2. Click the Set button. This action automatically generates all missing preset Data Controls.

• To remove existing Data Controls:

  1. Confirm the status is either Partially Set or Set.

  2. Click the Remove button. This action deletes only the preset Data Controls listed below, without affecting any other existing controls.

Important: Clicking Remove will only delete these specific preset Data Controls. All other Data Controls will remain unchanged.
