# Delete Bills of Lading

1. Open the **Bills of Lading** module in the Operations section.
2. Open the Bill of Lading drawer. 
3. Click the more icon<img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/uZ9lzqgHX4JL1Df67xog/blobs/eGvSseGsTano9r3S6cy3/more_vert-24px.svg" alt="" data-size="original">at top right.
4. Click **Delete**.
5. Click **Confirm** to delete the bill of lading.

You cannot delete a bill of lading if it has status "released". You must first change the status to "not released".
