# Delete Bills of Lading

1. Open the **Bills of Lading** module in the Operations section.
2. Open the Bill of Lading drawer. 
3. Click the more icon<img src="https://797708323-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-Liw6C9Fe7rohFtkU25j%2F-M49ljvSxQe4ciGFWQwo%2F-M49rzQXCOWtZTZDxjI3%2Fmore_vert-24px.svg?alt=media&#x26;token=a863d1d4-9907-4c50-b9bf-a5fbd3b81d01" alt="" data-size="original">at top right.
4. Click **Delete**.
5. Click **Confirm** to delete the bill of lading.

You cannot delete a bill of lading if it has status "released". You must first change the status to "not released".
